Galka Emmy Scheyer made the acquaintance of Paul Klee (1879-1940) in Munich. She adored him in every way. He appreciated her understanding of art, but her behaviour was sometimes too lively for him. He preferred to leave the correspondence with her to his wife Lily. Classical music was a subject they could easily talk about. Perhaps they also talked about the city of Braunschweig: Lily Klee’s uncle Hans Schlie lived there with his family.
